Cardiology
Cardiology is a medical speciality dealing with disorders of the heart. The field includes diagnosis and treatment of heart injuries and diseases as well as their causes including congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease and heart failure. Some of these risk factors include a family history of heart disease, obesity, cigarette smoking, poor diet and a sedentary lifestyle.

Gynaecology and Obstetrics
Obstetrics and gynaecology comprises antenatal care and the management of diseases specific to women. This includes labour and delivery, reproductive medicine, ectopic pregnancy, miscarriages, sterilisations and infertility. Gynaecologists provide treatment for women with cervical cancer, tumours of the ovaries, endometriosis, hysterectomies, vaginal surgery and failed contraception.

Urology
Urology is the medical and surgical specialty treating diseases and disorders of the urinary tract of both men and women. Additionally, urology also treats the male reproductive system. Specialists who practise urology are called urologists. Urologists perform laparoscopic surgeries of the prostate, bladder, and ureter, removing stones, blockages, cancerous growths, or repairing abnormalities. Another common procedure performed by urologists is a vasectomy, or male sterilization.
Speech and Language Specialists
Speech and language therapy is concerned with the management of disorders of speech,language, communication and swallowing in children and adults. Speech and language therapists (SLTs) are allied health professionals. They work closely with parents, carers and other professionals, such as teachers, nurses, occupational therapists and doctors.
Paediatrics
Paediatrics is the branch of medicine that deals with infants, children and adolescents. A medical practitioner who specialises in this area is known as a paediatrician.
